Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll processing and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, labor laws, and payroll tax regulations. Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll for 500 plus employees using [Payroll Software, e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks]. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Handle employee deductions, benefits, garnishments, and direct deposits. Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies. Prepare payroll-related reports and respond to audits. Stay up to date on payroll best practices and regulatory changes. Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate data entry and reporting. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2 years of payroll experience (multi-state payroll a plus). Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll tax filing, and compliance. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Confidentiality and professionalism are essential. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or FPC certification. Experience processing union or construction payroll (if applicable).
