Job Description:
Assistant Controller Pickerington, Ohio (Hybrid) Salary Range:
$150,000 - $170,000 annually Overview: A leading developer,
marketer and retail company is seeking an experienced accounting
professional to join their accounting team as an Assistant
Controller. Having been in business for 70 years, they offer

work schedule based in the Pickerington, OH area. Key
Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial statements, including footnotes and disclosures, in
compliance with GAAP and IFRS. Oversee accounting operations
including accounts payable, payroll, vendor services, and
financial/tax reporting. Ensure timely month-end close processes,
account reconciliations, and financial analyses. Support the
development and implementation of financial tools and systems.
Analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare internal
reports. Monitor and report on key financial and operational
metrics. Coordinate tax compliance, including income, sales, and
royalty tax filings. Maintain and enhance internal control systems
to ensure financial integrity and asset protection. Assist with
cash forecasting, balance sheet planning, budgeting, and bank
reporting. Evaluate and recommend appropriate accounting methods
for financial and tax purposes. Provide technical accounting
expertise and support for acquisitions, pricing, and other
strategic initiatives. Manage external audit and payroll processes.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation
opportunities. Hire, train, and supervise accounting staff,
fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Deliver
ad-hoc reports and support special projects as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or
related field; CPA required, MBA preferred. 8 years of progressive
accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge; IFRS experience a
plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP
systems required. Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency
