Job Description:
GEE Group is hiring a Cost Accountant for a leading
manufacturer. This role is hands-on—supporting plant operations,
driving financial accuracy, and digging into the numbers that
matter. Key Responsibilities: · Reconcile GL accounts: inventory,
WIP, COGS · Analyze plant expenses and report variances to
budget/forecast · Monitor manufacturing variances: price, labor,
overhead, production · Partner with ops and supply chain to
identify cost drivers · Handle journal entries, accruals, and
month/year-end close · Lead physical and cycle inventory counts;
resolve discrepancies · Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital
project tracking · Coordinate audit support and asset management
Requirements: · 5 years in accounting, ideally in manufacturing ·
Strong grasp of cost accounting and GAAP · Proficient in ERP
systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) · Advanced Excel and large data set
experience · Detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven
