Job Description:
Job Title: Payroll Specialist About the Role: We are seeking an
experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our
team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a
fast-paced environment and has a strong background in processing
high-volume payroll , managing payroll tax compliance , and working
with payroll software systems . The ideal candidate will be a
self-starter with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Key
Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist: Process end-to-end payroll
for 1500 employees (bi-weekly/semi-monthly/etc.). Ensure accuracy
of payroll transactions including wages, benefits, bonuses, and
deductions. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local
payroll tax regulations. Manage payroll-related inquiries from
employees and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Reconcile
payroll reports and general ledger accounts monthly. Stay current
on tax laws, wage regulations, and payroll best practices.
Qualifications for Payroll Specialist: 10 years of experience in
high-volume payroll processing. Strong knowledge of payroll tax
laws and reporting requirements. Proficiency in payroll software
(e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, Ceridian, etc.). Strong Excel skills
and familiarity with payroll reporting tools. Exceptional attention
to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
