Director of Billing and Collections Salary - $185,000 to $230,000 depending on experience: Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Leadership role within a prestigious professional services firm High-impact position with visibility across firm leadership Opportunity to create structure, define processes, and build a scalable billing function Work in a collaborative culture that values both people and process Competitive salary, excellent benefits, and professional growth potential Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the legal billing and collections departments Create and enforce standardized billing procedures and routines Establish consistent billing practices to ensure uniformity across departments Collaborate with firm stakeholders to align billing strategy with client expectations and internal controls Protect billing staff from ad hoc stakeholder demands by creating process clarity and structure Deliver strategic insight to improve billing accuracy, collection performance, and reporting Mentor and develop a high-performing billing and collections team Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a law firm, Big 4, or professional services environment is required 8 years of billing or revenue operations leadership, including team management Strong understanding of legal billing systems and workflows Ability to manage firm stakeholders with professionalism and authority Proven success in building structured, repeatable billing processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) is a plus Salary and Benefits: Salary: $185,000 to $230,000 depending on experience Benefits: Comprehensive package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO Location: Downtown Cleveland, Hybrid role billing legal collections
