outstanding opportunity for an R&D Technician supporting the
Machine division manufacturing team. This a key role that will
assist R&D engineers in new product development and testing. In

The R&D Technician provides technical support to engineers and
scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance,
safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
Responsibilities include: Utilize schematics, diagrams, written and
verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and
troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment
or systems. Gather, maintain, format, compile and manipulate
technical data using established formulae and procedures and
performs detailed mathematical calculations. Work in Machine
R&D laboratory assisting multiple projects in the design,
construction, and testing of welding products. Use data acquisition
system, computers, and CAD as required. Assist in the preparation
of documentation. Operate basic lab equipment including meters,
oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as
needed). Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed
in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy. Experience & Education
Requirements Technician II: Vocational Training and 3 years
experience required; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years in
related field. (But does not require a university degree).
Technician III: Vocational training and 5 years of experience in a
relevant work environment is required; OR High School Diploma/GED
with 7 years experience in a relevant work environment. Familiarity
with computer software including Windows operating system. Ability
to use common laboratory equipment, read and comprehend wiring
diagrams, schematics and test specifications. Working knowledge of
analytical/scientific methods or operational processes. Ability to
organize and maintain a neat work area. Able to maintain detailed
test records. Ability to work on multiple projects with supervision
and clear instruction. Capable of lifting 50 pounds on an
occasional basis. Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting
skills. Easy to get along in a group and team environment.
Electrical/electronic experience is a plus. Good attendance record.
