Weekly Gross: $2,161.00 Per Week On W2(Taxable): $684.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,477.00 Per Week Job role : We are seeking
an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit
(PCU) at Ohio State Brain and Spine Hospital. The ideal candidate
will have a minimum of 2 years PCU or Med-Surg experience with
strong proficiency in Epic charting. This role requires working 3
night shifts per week with rotation on weekends and holidays,
including floating to different units within the OSU system as
needed. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to
adult and geriatric patients in a neuro-focused PCU setting. Manage
complex neurological and neurosurgical patients, including those
with craniotomies, spinal cord injuries, strokes, and traumatic
brain injuries. Monitor and manage specialty equipment such as
External Ventricular Drains (EVDs) – strict adherence to monitoring
protocols is mandatory (HARD STOP). Administer medications and
manage cardiac drips as per protocols. Perform IV therapy,
phlebotomy, arterial line, and central line care. Collaborate with
interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory
services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Float to other units
within the OSU organization as required. Required Qualifications:
Licensure: Valid RN license in Ohio or compact license at time of
submission. Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg nursing
experience with PCU preferred. Technical Skills: Proficient in Epic
electronic charting system (required) Experience with IV therapy,
arterial line management, blood product administration, central
line care, and neurological monitoring Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
