Sign-On Bonus [taxed] Available Bonus Paid in Full with First
Paycheck $10,000 Dependent (LPC, LSW, MFT) $15,000 Independent
(LPCC, LISW, IMFT) 1st Shift: 8am - 4:30pm with 3 Nights Until 7pm
Monday - Friday Location: Akron Main - Addiction Services Summary:
The Substance Use and Mental Health Therapist II is proficient in
applying graduate-level counseling skills to the diagnostic
assessment of individuals, as well as individual therapy. The
Mental Health Therapist is also proficient in care
coordination/case management. Responsibilities: Conducts initial
patient comprehensive substance use and mental health psychosocial
assessment, including the patient and family. Conducts individual
therapy sessions utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy and other
evidenced based practices such as Motivational Interviewing to
treatment patients with co-occurring substance use and mental
health disorders. Includes family in therapy sessions and provides
behavior modification techniques as needed. Implement and conduct
group therapy sessions utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy and
other evidenced based practices such as Motivational Interviewing
to treatment adolescent patients with co-occurring substance use
and mental health disorder at the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Level
of Care. Communicates with staff regarding assessment, treatment
and interdisciplinary care plan through case consultation and
documentation. Is proficient and timely in documentation. Provides
case management to collaborate with community and hospital
resources as needed. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills
necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social,
educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of
age. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical
Expertise 1. Experience working with electronic medical record
software, such as EPIC, is preferred. 2. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. 3.
Experience providing clinical services through telehealth is
preferred. Education and Experience 1. Education: Master's Degree
in Social Work or Clinical Mental/Behavioral Health Counseling is
required. 2. Certification: Licensed Independent Social Worker
(LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or
Licensed Independent Marriage and family Therapist (IMFT) required.
For SUD positions, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC is preferred. 3.
Years of relevant experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant
experience in preferred. 4. Supervision endorsement from the Ohio
Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board
preferred. 5. Must meet Akron Children's Hospital Medical Staff
Credentialing/Privileging criteria. 6. Years of supervisory
