Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour and Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required License: Valid compact or state license Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required Previous travel experience preferred Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology. The role involves rotating shifts that may include days, nights, or a combination of both, based on departmental needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every four weeks, but changes are not guaranteed. Candidates must be flexible, as there is no set schedule, set weekend, or block schedule. Work may include weekends as determined by staffing priorities. Patients served primarily have continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and soft tissue malignancies. Responsibilities will include chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and management of comorbidities. Infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention are heavily emphasized. Special Equipment includes B450 monitors and GE telemetry systems, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds. Skills required for this role include interpretation of dysrhythmias, accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, IV starts, and assisting with chest tube insertion/removal. High flow nasal cannula interpretation and ABG interpretation are also necessary skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on comprehensive patient care. Candidates will be required to complete a fingerprinting process as part of credentialing. Two professional references are required, one from a manager or someone in a formal leadership capacity. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment if they have been away from the facility for six months or more. Current employees are ineligible for this position. Education must be from an accredited program. Orientation includes 24 hours of training.
