TravelNurseSource is working with Accede Solutions Inc to find a qualified Oncology RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43085! About The Position Registered Nurse/Oncology Chemo Certified: Duration:13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Description: Registered Nurse/Oncology Chemo Certified provides specialized care to cancer patients, administering chemotherapy and other oncology treatments safely. Monitors patients for adverse reactions, manages symptoms, and offers emotional support. Educates patients and families about treatment plans and side effects. Collaborates with oncologists and care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. First Time travelers: NO Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Patient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: Primarily care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients Staffing Ratios: Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends: Variable based on unit needs Schedule: No set/blocked scheduling. Self-schedule requests accepted to accommodate preferred schedules before finalizing. Orientation: First week: Mon-Fri dayshift. Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
