The role involves assessing clients' physical capacities and psychosocial functions using assessment tools. You will plan, coordinate, and implement occupational therapy treatment plans for clients. Determining appropriate therapy techniques and coordinating treatment plans with other programs is essential. Consultation with clients and other health care professionals regarding client progress and treatment recommendations is required. You will participate in planning and controlling occupational therapy services and policies. As an interdisciplinary team member, you will assess and locate suitable adaptive equipment. Documenting evaluations, observations, and assessment of client performance is necessary. You will record treatment plans and revisions, requisition supplies and equipment, and maintain records. Staying current with knowledge relevant to occupational therapy through reading and training is expected. You will also attend staff meetings as part of your responsibilities.
