Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown RN – Ohio Start

Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36-hour
orientation period; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
Highlights: Progressive care unit with 32 beds serving a diverse
patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and
geriatrics Comprehensive skill set opportunity including cardiac
drip titration, vasoactive medication management, ventilated
patient care, and advanced telemetry EPIC charting system with full
interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid
response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy Dynamic PCU/Stepdown
environment requiring both ER holding experience and
medical-surgical or telemetry background Daily census of 32
patients with access to specialty equipment and advanced monitoring
capabilities Travel nurses welcomed; local candidates accepted at
the same rate Requirements: Minimum 2 years of registered nursing
experience Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
required Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of
application Previous experience in ER observation/holding or
medical-surgical/telemetry required Experience with 1:4 patient
ratios preferred EPIC charting system experience preferred
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two
professional references required: at least one from a manager,
director, or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second
reference Must be available to complete Ohio fingerprinting process
promptly upon contract signing Key Clinical Skills: Telemetry and
dysrhythmia interpretation and management IV insulin and heparin
protocol administration with titration capabilities Cardiac and
vasoactive drip management including titration Blood product
administration and central line management Non-invasive airway
management including BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula
Tracheostomy care, wound vac management, and surgical drain care
Care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, and ABG
interpretation Renal failure management including pre/post
