Join a high-acuity critical care team in a top Ohio healthcare setting. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus, Ohio; Ohio nursing jobs; travel nursing jobs)/n - Role: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse / Critical Care Nurse (Cardiac Medical ICU)/n - Setting: Cardiac Medical ICU (2 Ross CCU / ACU)/n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)/n - Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) – Night Shift ICU RN/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (critical care / cardiac ICU)/n - Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend/n - On-call: None/n - Orientation: 36 hours/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$2040/week/n /n/nRequired Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (critical care nurse or ICU RN)/n - Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at submission) – travel nurse eligible/n - Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program/n - EPIC charting experience required (EPIC proficiency preferred)/n - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)/n - Clinical skills: proficient in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, arterial/central line care/n - Familiarity with advanced cardiac support: IABP, Impella, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring/n - Ability to float to other critical care units within the health system as needed/n - Two professional references (one must be a supervisor/manager/charge RN)/n - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients with complex cardiac and medical diagnoses (e.g., ACS, MI, cardiogenic shock, post-interventional cardiac procedures, heart failure, TAVR)/n - Manage secondary and comorbid conditions such as GI bleed, renal failure, pneumonia, diabetes, and multisystem illness/n - Operate and monitor advanced devices and therapies: IABP, Impella, CRRT, ventilators, continuous hemodynamic monitoring/n - Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, and perform arterial/central line management/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response for coordinated patient care/n - Maintain infection prevention standards and isolation precautions in line with hospital protocols/n - Document care accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health record/n - Float to other critical care units as needed to support patient volume and system needs/n /n/n Why Columbus, OH?
