standards of professional paramedic practice for patients with
consideration of their specific age needs. Provides leadership by
working cooperatively with other health care professionals in
accordance with ORC 4765.36 which states: “In a hospital, an
emergency medical technician-basic, emergency medical
technician-intermediate, or emergency medical technician-paramedic
may perform emergency medical services if the services are
performed in accordance with both of the following conditions: (A)
Only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a
patient between the emergency department and another part of the
hospital; (B) Only under the direction and supervision of one of
the following: (1) A physician; (2) A physician assistant
designated by a physician; (3) A registered nurse designated by a
physician. Minimum Qualifications: Education / Knowledge / Skills /
Abilities 1. Current paramedic licensure in the State of Ohio. 2.
Specialty certification preferred. BLS and ALCS required. PALS and
ITLS preferred. 3. Must be willing to rotate shifts and units. 4.
Physical requirements: a. visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to
20/20 including color vision when applicable; b. ability to hear
(with or without aides) c. ability to orally communicate d. good
manual dexterity e. ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift
50 pounds occasionally f. ability to stand, walk frequently g.
ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and h. ability to
perform CPR Communication Must possess excellent written, verbal
and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Conditions of
