Job Description Job Description Position Overview Apex Skin is a
physician-led and rapidly growing dermatology practice committed to
delivering exceptional patient experiences. We are seeking a
skilled and motivated Provider Recruiter to lead the full-cycle
recruitment of clinical providers, including Dermatologists, Mohs
Surgeons, Dermatopathologists, and dermatology-trained Nurse
Practitioners and Physician Assistants. This role is critical to
supporting our practice growth and maintaining clinical excellence.
The Provider Recruiter will develop and execute targeted
recruitment strategies, build strong relationships within the
dermatology community, and ensure a seamless, high-quality
candidate experience. Reporting directly to the President, this
position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our
organization by attracting top-tier talent in a highly specialized
field. While this position reports directly to the President, it
will be functionally aligned with the Human Resources team to
ensure consistency in recruitment practices, compliance, onboarding
coordination, and workforce planning. Schedule Full-time, Monday
through Friday [40 hours per week] This position is primarily
remote; however, candidates must be flexible to attend in-office
meetings and travel to Apex Skin locations as needed to support
recruitment activities and business objectives. Essential Functions
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for Dermatologists, Mohs
surgeons, Dermatopathologists, Aesthetic Providers, and
Dermatology-trained APPs. Develop specialty-specific sourcing
strategies, including outreach to dermatology residency programs,
Mohs fellowships, dermatopathology training programs, and national
specialty organizations. Maintain a deep understanding of
dermatology subspecialties, clinical skill sets (general, surgical,
cosmetic), and practice models (general Dermatology, Mohs,
Aesthetics). Screen candidates for clinical expertise, board
certification/eligibility, surgical volumes (if applicable), and
alignment with our practice’s patient care philosophy. Coordinate
on-site visits including clinic tours, observation days, and
meetings with practice leadership and clinical teams. Support offer
development and compensation discussions tailored to dermatology
market norms (e.g., productivity-based models, Mohs compensation
structures, cosmetic incentive plans). Partner with the President
and clinical directors to understand staffing needs driven by
clinic expansion, patient demand, and succession planning. Monitor
national dermatology workforce trends including resident graduation
rates, geographic distribution, and competitive compensation. Build
a proactive pipeline of candidates for high-demand areas such as
Mohs Surgery and Dermatopathology. Build and maintain strong
relationships with residency and fellowship programs, academic
dermatology departments, and professional societies (e.g., AAD,
ASDS, ACMS). Represent the practice at dermatology conferences,
career fairs, and specialty meetings. Develop relationships with
dermatology recruiters, training program coordinators, and
specialty-specific job boards. Maintain accurate, detailed
candidate records within the ATS (e.g., Greenhouse). Ensure
compliance with credentialing and licensure requirements, including
state medical boards, DEA, CLIA, and board certification standards.
Optimize recruitment workflows to reduce time-to-fill while
supporting a positive candidate experience. Provide regular
recruitment updates, forecasts, and market insights to the
President and clinical leadership. Partner with operations,
onboarding, credentialing, and marketing teams to support a
seamless transition for new providers. Collaborate on employer
branding initiatives that highlight the practice’s expertise in
dermatology and patient-first culture. Qualifications Bachelor’s
degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or
a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of
recruitment experience, including at least 1 year in healthcare
recruiting; physician or advanced practice provider (APP)
recruitment experience strongly preferred. In-depth understanding
of dermatology provider roles, training pathways (residency, Mohs
fellowship), and credentialing requirements. Proven ability to
source and engage passive candidates using innovative strategies.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building
skills. Strong networking capabilities within specialty communities
and professional organizations. Ability to manage multiple
high-priority searches in a fast-paced environment. Expertise in
market research and competitive intelligence to inform recruitment
strategies. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and
integrity. Results-oriented approach with a strong sense of
urgency. Previous experience recruiting Dermatologists, Mohs
Surgeons, Dermatopathologists, or other specialty physicians.
Familiarity with dermatology business models, including medical,
surgical, and cosmetic/aesthetic practices. Experience working in a
multi-site dermatology practice or private practice setting. Career
