Job Description:
Job Title: IT Manager (Engineering Background & Project
Management Experience – Manufacturing & Automotive Industry)
Location: Hybrid (Livonia or Roseville) Job Type: Full-time Job
Summary: The IT Manager will play a key role in overseeing all
aspects of our IT operations, focusing on engineering solutions
that support the manufacturing and automotive sectors. With a
strong engineering foundation and hands-on experience in project
management, you will lead IT projects, optimize technology
solutions, and ensure that our systems are aligned with
industry-specific needs. You will manage IT resources, collaborate
with engineering teams, and drive the adoption of technology that
improves operational efficiency and product quality. Key
Responsibilities: IT Strategy: Develop and execute IT strategies
that align with business goals and growth objectives. Project
Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of IT
projects, including software implementations and system upgrades,
ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Manufacturing & Automotive Systems Support: Support and optimize IT
systems used in manufacturing processes. Ensure the integration of
IT solutions with automotive manufacturing systems and production
lines. Technology Infrastructure: Oversee the management of the
network, servers, cloud environments, and workstations, ensuring
scalability, reliability, and security. Provide solutions that
enhance operational performance within the manufacturing
environment. Process Improvement & Automation: Leverage
industry-specific technologies to streamline manufacturing
workflows and automate processes, focusing on driving efficiencies
and reducing downtime in production environments. Cross-Functional
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and
manufacturing teams to identify technology needs and ensure the
successful implementation of IT solutions tailored to the
automotive and manufacturing sectors. Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Ensure the security of critical systems, data protection, and
compliance with industry regulations. Vendor & Stakeholder
Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and
suppliers, ensuring that technology solutions meet business
requirements and that service level agreements (SLAs) are upheld.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current on emerging technologies in
the manufacturing and automotive industries, recommending and
implementing innovative solutions to support continuous improvement
and digital transformation. Current IT Service Systems: Lantern /
Finance Lantern (Homegrown): web based Program Mgmt System (10 yr
contract with his company) Hood: system used for tracking hours to
jobs (just launched) - Bubble Employee PDP: is this performance
evaluation? Zoom Oversight: Administrative account to make
adjustments Pipedrive: Sales CRM Executive Sales Overview:
Potentially implement new reporting/data visualization software
such as Power Bi or Tableau DTI Capacity: Bubble Neptune
(Homegrown): Estimating (web based program used to send RFQs,
vendors respond with quotes thru system, final quotes to customer
is created once costs are chosen, creates data based for access to
historical data) - Bubble
