Job Description:
Director of Communications Reporting to the Senior Director of
Marcom & Business Development, the Director of Communications will
set and guide the strategy for all communications, website, and
public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate
I Am Boundless mission. The Director of Communications will ensure
that (I Am) Boundless is viewed as the primary source,
disseminator, and conduit of information within this diverse
network and constituent base. The Director of Communications will
work closely with a senior peer group within the organization as
the communications partner on various strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities Directs the coordination of the activities across
the organization that create and promote this branding strategy.
Works closely with the advancement/ philanthropy department to
ensure that branding and community education efforts are supported
and aligned with the messages and outreach needed to support
philanthropy and fundraising efforts. Acts closely with all other
organizational departments to ensure practical and clear messaging
is distributed throughout the organization, as needed, in alignment
with Boundless’ brand standards. Specifically collaborates with the
People & Culture department to draft team member communication
content and effective multi-tiered communication strategies to
ensure widespread understanding at all levels of the Adheres to
company policies and procedures in addition to regulations, laws,
and other requirements from applicable governing bodies,
certification, licensure, and/or accreditation entities, etc. This
job operates remotely, with some traveling to sites to meet with
stakeholders, vendors, and team members professionally. Attendance
at tradeshows, conferences, and other events, both indoor and
outdoor, may be required to ensure adequate coverage for the
agency. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax
machines.Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications
plan across the network's discrete audiences in collaboration with
the programs team and constituentsLead the generation of online
content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable
action. Decide who, where, and when to disseminatePut
communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness
as well as to test the effectiveness of communications
activitiesManage the budget, development, distribution, and
maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but
not limited to, newsletters, brochures, and Boundless’
websiteCoordinate webpage maintenance—ensure that new and
consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is
posted regularlyTrack and measure the level of engagement within
the network over timeCoordinate and organize annual meetings that
engage the network's discrete audiencesManage all media
contactsDirect management responsibilities: Communications,
Marketing, and PR.Qualifications I Am Boundless seeks an
accomplished Director of Communications with at least 10 years of
communications experience, ideally in an “in-house” leadership role
within a multi-million-dollar, complex nonprofit entity or
government agency, covering website content, newsletters, and donor
communications. The ability to take knowledge and transform it into
exciting and useful messages and disseminate it to the right
audiences through the best distribution channels is critical.
Specific requirements include: 10 years or more experience working
in a nonprofit, IDD/BH agency, or medical field.Highly

communications strategiesExcellent writing/editing and verbal
