Enterprise Architect (EA) in Refining IT will understand MPC's
enterprise environment, support current and future state planning
aligned with strategic priorities, and partner on standards and
architecture governance. The EA will lead digital transformation
initiatives, collaborate with other architects, and champion
data-driven decisions to advance our digital strategy.Key
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise architecture standards and
guidelines, lead architecture reviews, and ensure adherence.
- Work with executive management to influence strategic
initiatives, define the architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap,
and analyze industry trends.
- Provide a decision-making framework, model the functional
domain, assess risks, and resolve complex architectural
challenges.
- Monitor emerging technologies, guide business model analysis,
and develop future-state models.
- Integrate new technologies and develop implementation
plans.
- Mentor other architects, ensure alignment across architecture
activities, and present IT investment roadmaps.Education and
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related
field
- 7+ years relevant architecture experience
- 3-5+ years business architecture experience (preferred)
- 2-3+ years lean six sigma, Green or Black belt
(preferred)Skills
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills for
architectural challenges.
- Architecture Frameworks: Proficiency in frameworks like TOGAF,
Zachman, or BOK.
- Artificial Intelligence: Understanding of AI processes and
techniques.
- Effective Communication: Clear verbal and written
expression.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of MPC's business and strategic
alignment.
- Cloud Computing: Managing cloud services and architecture.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying and leading improvement
initiatives.
- Data Modeling: Designing and implementing data models.
- Digital Transformation: Applying digital technologies to
transform services.
- Functional Expertise: Knowledge of relevant technologies and
systems.
- Machine Learning: Developing algorithms for data-driven
improvements.
- Process Orchestration: Managing workflow coordination and
automation.
- Strategic Outlook: Developing long-term plans aligned with
organizational goals.
- Systems Thinking: Analyzing complex systems and
interdependencies.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field
- 7+ years of relevant architecture experienceAdditional
