**Cybersecurity Architect - Principal**
Overview
The Cybersecurity Architect - Principal reports to the Cybersecurity Architect Senior Manager and collaborates with the Chief Information Security Officer, audit, and compliance teams. Responsible for designing security solutions that safeguard business and customer data while enabling business innovation.
This role involves working with diverse teams, including security engineering, IT infrastructure, application development, security operations, security audit, and end users. It also includes architecting solutions for business-to-business initiatives, third-party relationships, outsourced solutions, and vendors.
The architect provides expert guidance on current security issues, anticipates industry trends, and proactively develops secure solutions. The role requires thinking like an adversary to adapt solutions to evolving threats.
The position comprises 40% security architecture, 50% technical leadership, and 10% research and development. The individual partners with product managers and solution architects, guides CIOs, and approves security controls on projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver cybersecurity architecture for projects and roadmaps.
  
• Provide technical leadership within the cybersecurity organization.
  
• Conduct research and development to enable future cybersecurity capabilities.
  
  Basic Qualifications
  

• 
  
• 4+ years in cybersecurity architecture.
  
• 8+ years of information security experience.
  
• 10+ years of experience delivering technology solutions in large, complex organizations.
  
• Associate's Degree.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
  Extensive knowledge of security controls and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM, antivirus, firewalls, EDR, threat intelligence platforms, security automation, deception technologies, and application controls. Experience with mobile and web application design, cloud computing (public, private, hybrid), and influencing management on technical solutions. Strong communication skills and knowledge of data protection, threat analysis, application security, cryptography, service-oriented architecture, enterprise authentication (LDAP, SAML, XACML), and various platforms. Certifications like CISSP are preferred. Additionally, experience in financial services application architecture is advantageous.
